Pears.. the fruit of the fall season combined with copper pennies & magnolias, are crisp and comforting as warm apple pie. Pairing copper with shades of green create a stunning centerpiece and table setting.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner so think about creating a table scape using natural materials. Magnolia leaves with pods, fresh florals and real pears or apples make a living arrangement for a centerpiece. Magnolia leaves are shiny on one side and copper felt like texture on the backside. This added to the overall copper color scheme.
Speaking of copper, at each place setting copper chargers featured shiny copper pennies. Three rows of cleaned and polished pennies were attached with hot glue. Cleaning the pennies is a must since they were used on a dining table. To clean the pennies, soaking in white vinegar then rubbing with baking soda will create a pretty shine. Over time they will darken and become the patina color that copper creates. On the charger, acorn styled salad plates are nestled on a white dinner plate to help carry the fall theme. For a casual feel, coffee mugs are filled with copper and dark brown napkins, a fresh pear and magnolia leave place card.
