Cobalt Blue and Orange Leaf Tablescape|Sassy Fall Table Decor

Fall colors beg for cobalt blue in the mix along with orange and yellow to create a beautiful table top.  Cobalt blue with navy and orange makes a table scape dance with vibrancy and crispness, just like fall days with the cool winds and soft sounds of falling leaves.  This table top has it all,  the centerpiece is made from twigs spray painted white with small maple leaves glued to the ends of the branches, just as  in nature where the leaves seem to fall first.

Apple Dumpling Pastry Recipe

This Apple Dumpling Pastry is made with puff pastry strips wrapped around a 3 minute microwaved whole  apple that has been peeled, cored and filled with brown sugar, cinnamon, currents and chopped pecans.  The pastry is brushed with an egg wash and baked in a preheated 375 degree oven for 35 minutes.  The pastry turns into a beautifully golden fall apple shaped pastry.  No sauce here but a scoop of cinnamon vanilla ice cream and drizzle of caramel sauce would be a great accompaniment.

Woodsy Tablescape

Woodsy Tablescape  featured red Gala apples,  natural acorns, colorful leaves and hydrangeas .   You can create this sassy setting by purchasing pretty fall salad plates. From that point, create your color scheme. In this case, I had a centerpiece that featured leaves and candles, so I added a few apples to bring out the red color in the plates.  The glass canisters beside the centerpiece has the same wooden dowel rounds glued to a felt band around the center of the canister.  This helps repeat the overall woodsy scheme.  The second photo features hydrangeas and cranberry spikes.  The cranberries are real and picked on a wooden skewer, then arranged with in the overall arrangement.  I repeated the cranberry theme with a Cranberry Ginger punch that was served with the dinner.  The cranberry ginger punch recipe can be found here http://serveitupsassy.com/cranberry-ginger-punch/.
