Peppermint Christmas Munch Mix
In microwave safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips with shortening and cream at 30 second intervals until melted. Stir mixture until smooth and creamy.
In large mixing bowl, add Chex cereal, pretzels, peanuts, with confectioner’s sugar, gently toss together then add melted chocolate, toss again to coat. Allow to sit to dry or set up.
Place mix in large glass bowl, add candies right before serving or as desired. Recipe makes 14 -8 ounce cups. This is a quick and delicious snack mix. Adding Christmas candies make it very festive. To serve at a large gathering, place in a large glass bowl with scoop.

7 cups Honey Nut Chex cereal
2 cups white chocolate chips
2 tablespoon shortening
1/4 cup heavy cream
15 ounce package twisted pretzels
1/4 cup confectioner’s sugar
2– 8 ounce packages White Peppermint M & M’s
1–8 ounce package Holiday M & M’s
1 cup roasted peanuts- optional

Notes
Can be made ahead and stored in air tight container for up to 5 days.
