Quick Apple Cider Punch Recipe

Super simple 5 ingredient apple cider punch, served with cinnamon ginger whipped cream and cinnamon sticks for fall entertaining.  Can be made ahead, served warm or cold.

Ingredients

Scale

8 cups or half gallon apple cider or apple juice

11/4 cups orange juice

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup apple cider mix or to taste

4 cups ginger ale or sprite- served with cold punch only

Cinnamon Ginger Whipped Cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream

3 tablespoons confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Garnish

Cinnamon sticks, apple slices, apple cubes, orange slices, cinnamon ginger whipped cream, ground nutmeg sprinkled over whipped cream.

Instructions

  1. In large dutch oven, mix cider or apple juice, add orange juice, lemon juice, apple cider spice mix, and heat to simmer over medium heat, stir until spice mix is dissolved. Simmer slightly.. remove from heat.
  2. To serve cold, allow to cool, then pour over ice cubes in serving container. Right before serving add ginger ale or sprite for sparkling effect. Garnish with apple and orange slices, apple cubes and cinnamon sticks.
  3. To serve warm, pour heated punch into a serving container, crock pot or individual mugs.  Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon sticks, whipped cinnamon ginger cream dollops. Sprinkle with ground nutmeg if desired.

Making Cinnamon Ginger Whipped Cream

In medium chilled mixing bowl add 1 cup heavy whipping cream + 3 tablespoons confectioners sugar whip on high speed with whisk attachment until soft peaks are formed. Add 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, whip cream until spice is blended and stiff peaks.  Serve in dollops over warmed apple cider punch, sprinkle with ground nutmeg if desired.

Notes

Recipe can be doubled and made ahead.

Add ginger ale or sprite to chilled punch right before serving.

Can be served warm or cold.
