Fathers Day Table and Menu Ideas

Need a quick snack mix for entertaining hearty appetites, this is it!  Great for the hostess too as this recipe is all about toss and serve . Easy to make and take crunchy with sweet snack. Whether day hiking, watching a movie or entertaining dad on Father’s day, everyone will love this recipe.

Since this recipe was used with a tool time theme for a Fathers Day Lunch, lets go nuts over dad with a mixed nut and bolt cracker mix.  A combination of cheese crackers, pretzel snaps, Tostitos rolls, Fritos and almonds is served up sassy in a hinged top mason jar with the lettering Nuts & Bolts.

What is in the Snack Mix?

Butter square pretzels, Cheez-It four cheese snack crackers,  corn chips, fresh popped corn, nuts and orange, red M & M’s.  You won’t need any mixing of sauces or baking.  Just combine all the ingredients into a large bowl toss to mix and place in cute containers. This would make a great take home gift too.  In addition, having this snack mix for tailgating or movie night would make everyone happy.

How to Package the Mix?

Packing this mix is pretty simple too. I used a small quart jar, and added sticker letters spelling Nuts & Bolts to go with my table scheme of Tool Time for Dad… Fathers’ Day Lunch. Of course you could go letter-less or spell out your team for tailgating, personalize for gift giving.

In addition, if you don’t want to purchase jars, small paper bags or ziplock baggies will work for hiking and the like.  However, serving the mix in a large pretty bowl will be just as inviting.  Just make sure you have a large scoop for the large bowl for guests to scoop what they want instead of grabbing with fingers.
