Like Pumpkin Spice for Fall? I have a creamy pumpkin spice coffee creamer recipe you will love. The creamer has half n half as the base, with sweetened condensed milk, real pumpkin puree, vanilla and you guessed it, pumpkin pie spice.
What is Pumpkin Pie Spice?
Simply put, it is ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, all spice, and ground cloves. Actually there is not one drop of pumpkin anywhere. Funny isn’t it? To make your own, just follow this recipe. Add this spice to pumpkin pies, cookies, and other pumpkin desserts.
3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger and nutmeg
1-1/2 teaspoons ground all spice
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon
How to Make Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer
Unlike purchased creamers, this home made creamer is thicker than most in that half n half and sweetened condensed milk makes it so. If you wanted to make it lighter or not as creamy use coconut or almond type milk.
Making this creamer is very easy. First in a saucepan add half n half and sweetened condensed milk, add pumpkin puree, not filling, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Stir to combined over medium heat until the mixture simmers slightly. At this point you will remove from the heat and pour through a sieve to remove any spices that did not dissolve. Pour creamer in a mason jar with a lid and refrigerate.
Serve the creamer in coffee for pumpkin pie spice lattes, regular coffee, even hot chocolate. After refrigeration, the creamer is very thick, like I mentioned not like the grocery kind. You may need to add 2-4 tablespoons to get the flavor you desire. The stronger the coffee the better for best flavor. I’m a decaf girl so my coffee is more of a latte kind.
