Set a beautiful table in pink for your Valentine. Pink just goes with Valentines day, and guys like it too. What makes this table scape so pretty is the softness and combination of pinks and greens seen in the fresh floral centerpiece, the cute ceramic envelope vase with tiny hot pink roses at each place setting, the blush goblets, heart dinner plates and pink napkins folded like an envelope.
How to set the table.
Whether you are dining for two or up to 12 begin your table decor with a neutral tablecloth, I used linen damask. This provides a great base for all the pretty things you will add. Next, add your chargers and dinnerware. I found these lace edged chargers at Hobby Lobby as well as the mini ceramic envelope place setting vases. ( the ones with the tiny pink roses).
Flatware and beverage glasses as well as coffee mug is set next. Not to be left out is the floral centerpiece, candles, heart shaped Strawberry Cream Cake and to repeat the heart-felt theme, the velvet stuffed hearts. (I found those last year on Etsy)
Floral Pink & Green Centerpiece
Using a white gravy boat filled with oasis was the perfect size low level arrangement that I needed for the table.
In this centerpiece, I used blush roses tipped in hot pink with Queen Anne’s lace. Mini hot pink roses, white alstroemeria, and white tiger lilies made a pretty floral centerpiece. Here’s a tip: You might want to cut the brown stamens from your lilies, for they shed and will cause brown residue on your tablecloth. Not fun cleaning up.
Now that the centerpiece is arranged down the center of the table, time to work on the mini rose place card holders.
What about the envelope napkin?
Every place setting needs a napkin and this napkin is so cute. Folded like an envelope it has a small pocket for a Valentine’s day card or special note. Even a flower stem would be a lovely touch. Tap on photo or link for You Tube Video.
