Snowmen and snowflakes make a cold winter warm with these table setting ideas. Black top hat with long woolen scarf wrapped casually for a table centerpiece along with fun snowman plates. In addition, black and white checked napkins stuff snowmen mugs until hot chocolate is served.
Since winter snow is falling outside, setting a black, white and green table scape makes the bitter temperatures warming.
Red velvet rim around the top hat with holly adds a pop of color and carries out the red on the snowman plates. You can’t see this but the top of the hat, has a center opening. In the past, I have been known to add white tree sticks with snowflakes cascading over the table. Makes a cute breakfast table setting. Photo credit: https://factorydirectcraft.com/
Beside the top hat and scarf two glass hurricane vases with epsom salt and candle resembles fresh fallen snow.
How to set this table
Snowman plates and mugs set the theme for this table scape, which brings in the top hat that a snowman usually wears. Since I had the top hat it was fitting to position in the center of the table with a skinny winter throw and smaller plaid scarf.
Snow happens when the table is set with a white tablecloth.
Simple flatware serves for utensils while the mug on the plate is replaced with a typical water glass. Toss around a few faux snowflakes for emphasis. That’s pretty much it. Very simple but fun table decorating that your family will love.
All I need is a few good red cardinals but we get to see these feathered friends out side the dining room windows. In addition, red berries would be cute as napkin rings if you were decorating for Christmas. Because this table is set in January, after Christmas, red was a brief accent color.

I’ve seen red cardinals at Dollar Tree before Christmas. Also QVC sold them in Valerie Par Hill’s Christmas line. Maybe you can search for them if they are still available. I love the snow globe cake. I bet it can also
be done for other holidays too but yours came out fantastic. Also love the table scape but how I wish I could entertain again. No one comes over during a pandemic. Thank you for all your inspiration. You’ve got
my wheels turning and that’s great stimulation for these days at home. YOU MAKE ME SHINE!!!
